Mahindra Refuses Customers’ Dussehra, Thar Rocks Delivery Starts From Today; People welcome with pride

Mahindra officially started deliveries of Thar Rocks today. As per its promise, Mahindra has started deliveries during the festive season. The company had made it clear that it would start its delivery from Dussehra. Thar Rocks received a record 1,76,218 bookings in the first hour of launch. This booking figure clearly shows that people really liked this SUV. Looking at the booking, dealers estimate that the waiting period can exceed 12 months. Due to the huge response from customers, the company has planned to increase its production. According to reports, Thar Rocks production may be increased to 7,500 units in November.

The starting ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Thar Rocks KS petrol version is Rs 12.99 lakh and the diesel is Rs 13.99 lakh. The MX1 version of Thar Rocks is also equipped with many great features and security. It gets LED projector headlights, LED taillights and 18-inch steel wheels. This means that off-roading will be a lot of fun, even with the base variant.

Thar Rocks MX1 Features and Specifications

Talking about the interior of the Thar Rocks MX1, to make the journey easy and entertaining, it has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry with push-button start, manual air conditioning with rear air vents, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a USB-C charging port. And includes 60:40 split rear seat functionality. For added safety, it has 6 airbags (standard), rear parking sensor, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control and 3-point seat belts for all passengers.

The base MX1 variant of Mahindra Thar Rocks will get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, which generates a maximum power of 162 hp and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. At the same time, another diesel option is also available there . It is a 2.2 liter diesel engine, which generates a maximum power of 152 hp and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. Both these engines will be equipped with a manual transmission.

Talking about Mahindra Thar Rocks’ rivals, its direct competition in the Indian market will be with Force Gurkha 5-door and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. However, in terms of sales, both are far behind the 3-door model of the Thar. At the same price, Thar Rocks will also compete with many compact SUVs present in the market like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate.
