The recall notice states that a manufacturing defect could cause the main wiring harness to contact the steering column shaft and become damaged. This may result in a loss of power steering. According to information, around 6,150 vehicles are affected by this problem. The company says Kia Australia will replace the wiring harness. The company will repair this defect free of charge.
