In September 2024, Hero’s Splendor bike was ahead of Activa, Shine, Deluxe, Jupiter in terms of sales. This bike left everyone behind and became number 1. Let’s take a look at their sales report.
The two-wheeler segment witnessed high demand in the domestic market in September 2024. The two-wheeler segment recorded a sales growth of 14.52% on an annual basis and 17.61% on a monthly basis. . Total sales reached 13,77,712 units last month. This figure is higher than the 12,03,018 units sold in September 2023 and 11,71,424 units sold in August 2024. Except for the Suzuki Access and TVS Raider, all models in this top 10 have recorded better growth. Two-wheeler sales in September 2024 were led by Hero Splendor, which was the only model to cross the 3 lakh unit sales mark.

Hero Splendor has secured the number 1 position in this list. Its 3,75,886 units were sold last month. This is an increase of 17.58% from the 3,19,692 units sold in September 2023. This is a volume increase of 56,194 units. Splendor was the only model in the list to cross 3 lakh unit sales. In a short time, it reached a market share of 27.28%. Coming to the monthly sales, there was a growth of 24.08% from the 3,02,934 units sold in August 2024, which is linked to a huge increase in volume of 72,952 units.
The Honda Activa scooter was at number 2. It recorded a growth of 11.60% YoY and 15.33% MoM with 2,62,316 units sold last month. This figure is higher than the 2,35,056 units and 2,27,458 units sold in September 2023 and August 2024, respectively.
In the 125cc segment, Honda Shine recorded an improvement in sales of 12.56% year-on-year in September 2024. This corresponds to an increase in volumes of 20,291 units compared to 1,61,544 units sold in September 2023. Shine currently holds a market share of 13.20%.
Hero HF Deluxe experienced the highest sales growth percentage on an annual and monthly basis. Last month’s sales stood at 1,13,827 units, a growth of 35.32% YoY and 34.54% YoY. 84,118 units and 84,607 units were sold in September 2023 and August 2024, respectively.
New TVS Jupiter boosts sales
The new TVS Jupiter has recorded both year-on-year and month-on-month growth. TVS Jupiter captured a market share of 7.47% with sales of 1,02,934 units last month. With the new generation Jupiter, the company aims to become the leader in the segment.
Bajaj Pulsar, another hot-selling two-wheeler, recorded sales of 1,39,182 units last month. This is an improvement of 15.86% YoY from the sales of 1,20,126 units sold in September 2023 and a monthly growth of 19.73% from the 1,16,250 units sold in August 2024.
In the moped segment, TVS XL recorded sales of 54,969 units last month. This is a growth of 22.31% year-on-year and 23.40% month-on-month, giving it a market share of 3.99%.
Also in the top 10 two-wheelers was Suzuki Access, whose sales had fallen significantly last month, reaching 53,715 units. The market share saw a decline with a drop of 5.83% year-on-year and 13.96% month-on-month, falling to 3.99%.
Sales of Bajaj Platina touched 49,774 units last month, registering a growth of 2.38% YoY and 18.75% YoY.
Sales of the TVS Raider fell to 43,274 units. Raider sales declined by 11.24% year-on-year but sold well on a month-on-month basis, registering a growth of 60.73% compared to 26,923 units sold in August 2024.
