French company Citroën has launched the automatic variant of its entry-level sedan C3 in the Indian market. The company has introduced this transmission option only in the top-end Shine. It will be available in Shine, Shine Vibe Pack, Shine Dual-Tone and Shine Dual-Tone Vibe Pack variants. Let us tell you that the option of a naturally aspirated petrol engine is also available there. The ex-showroom prices of the Citroen C3 Automatic range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10.27 lakh. In the Indian market, it competes with the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai i10, Tata Punch.

Citroën C3 automatic engine
Talking about the engine of the C3, it has a 1.2 liter turbo-petrol engine like Citroen Basalt and C3 Aircross, capable of giving a power of 110 hp. To facilitate the transmission, a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox was used. Whereas previously only a 6-speed manual gearbox was available.
Characteristics of the Citroën C3 Automatic
The characteristics of the Citroën C3 Automatic variant are the same as those of the manual variant. It comes with features like LED projector headlights, power-adjustable exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals, and automatic climate control. Features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen are also available inside the car. It offers connected car technology using the MyCitroen Connect smartphone app. At the same time, for safety reasons, it has 6 airbags.
