Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has launched its new four-wheel electric vehicle Mahindra ZEO. The starting ex-showroom price of this four-wheel electric van, which comes with a powerful range, starts at just Rs 7.52 lakh. At the same time, its price for the top variant is Rs 7.99 lakh. The new Zeo was presented in two variants, delivery van and pickup. It is available in two battery options. It includes 18.3 kWh and 21.3 kWh batteries.
Features and Specifications of Mahindra ZEO Electric
The company described “ZEO” as “the zero-emissions option.” According to the company, customers can save up to Rs 7 lakh in 7 years with Mahindra ZEO compared to small diesel utility vehicles. This means that every year the owner will save Rs 1 lakh. Talking about the range, the company said that it has tested this electric four-wheeler for over 5 lakh kilometers in different conditions. Its actual range would be 160 km.
Its electric motor generates a maximum power of around 41 hp and a maximum torque of 114 Nm. Its maximum speed is 60 kilometers per hour. The company claims its long 2,500mm wheelbase provides stability in all driving conditions. Its ground clearance of 180 mm ensures that Mahindra ZEO can ride smoothly even on the worst roads.
According to Mahindra, with a DC fast charger, Mahindra ZEO is capable of delivering a range of 100 km in 60 minutes. Through which customers can save more by driving more. Mahindra ZEO is also available in multiple charger options. It also includes a 3.3 kW onboard home charger, which will take 7 hours to charge this four-wheeler from 0 to 100 percent. Thanks to a fast mains charger, ZEO can be fully charged in just 3 hours.
Mahindra ZEO has a battery with an IP67 rating. It meets the highest AIS038 high voltage battery safety standards. Apart from this, Mahindra ZEO has the Hill Hold Assist feature, which prevents the vehicle from rolling on slopes. With a payload capacity of up to 765 kg, Mahindra ZEO Electric comes with NEMO telematics system for real-time data access and fleet management.
In terms of safety, the new Mahindra ZEO also gets a camera-powered ADAS supported by the Driver Monitoring System (DMS). It has features such as lane departure warning, progress monitoring, driver behavior analyst and pedestrian collision. Two driving modes are also offered in ZEO. The first is ecological and the second is electric. Mahindra also offers a warranty of 1.5 lakh kilometers or 7 years on its ZEO Electric Cargo.
