The new Windsor EV has started arriving to customers on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. JSW MG Motor India launched the new Windsor EV early last month. The crossover is priced between Rs 13.50 lakh and Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom). MG Windsor EV is the first electric car to benefit from the option of battery purchase as a service (BaaS). Its operating cost amounts to Rs 3.5 per kilometer.

The new MG Windsor EV competes with other rivals like Tata Punch EV, Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400 in the Indian market. You will be surprised to know that Windsor EV recorded over 15,000 bookings within 24 hours of the order window opening, which is the highest booking figure for an electric car in India.
The MG Windsor EV looks like a large hatchback. The model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. It comes with premium flush door handles as well as LED lighting. The crossover is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive and Essence. Coming to the color options, it is available in Turquoise Green, Starburst Black, Pearl White, and Clay Beige.

The cabin is well-loaded feature-wise. It has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The Windsor EV is equipped with a single electric motor, capable of generating a power of 134 hp and a torque of 200 Nm. It has a 38 kWh battery, which promises a range of 332 km (claimed) with a single charge. It can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in 55 minutes using a 45 kW DC fast charger.
