The brand has already filed a design patent and nameplate patent for the Interceptor Bear 650 in India. The bike will likely be revealed at Motoverse later this year.

Most of its chassis will be shared with the Interceptor 650. There will be different springs at the rear of the bike. For fine tuning of the suspension system, Royal Enfield will use the Showa suspension system. As a scrambler, the motorcycle will be equipped with spoked wheels and all-round tires.

Its LED headlights will be carried over from other 650cc models. However, at night it does not provide very good light. The indicators are also LED and share the same design as the Himalayan 450. Notably, the Bear 650 is equipped with a circular LED tail light. Its rear light is integrated into the indicator. The bodywork has been specially designed to reduce bulk, with a new side panel.

It’s possible that Royal Enfield will use a different sprocket size for the Bear 650. Additionally, a new single-sided exhaust system could reduce some of the road presence associated with dual exhaust. However, the single-sided design should be significantly lighter. Currently the weight of the dual exhaust is around 10 kg.
