Automaker Mahindra is set to launch a new brown interior option for the Thar Rocks 4×4 variant. This new variant will offer customers additional options tailored to their individual preferences. Both interiors feature premium leatherette seats and a new color option to cater to those looking for more luxury.
Booking and delivery details
While booking their Thar Rocks, customers will have the option to choose Ivory or Mocha interiors from 11am IST on October 3, 2024. Deliveries for the Thar Rocks are expected to begin in October 2024, while the Mocha option, available only for 4×4 variants, expected to be ready by the end of January 2025.
Mahindra Thar Rocks were so far only offered with an ivory interior, which looked premium but got dirty very quickly. Which is not good for a 4×4 SUV. This is an off-road SUV that will often have to deal with mud, dust and slush, which is why the company has updated it.
Mahindra Thar Rocks Variants
Mahindra Thar Rocks is available in 6 different variants MX1, MX3, AX3L, MX5, AX5L and AX7L. Of these, the AX3L is exclusively equipped with a diesel engine with a manual transmission. The AX5L also has a diesel engine, but is only available with an automatic transmission. The remaining variants are equipped with gasoline engines.

Prices for the Mahindra Thar Rocks start at Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end model.
Mahindra Thar Rocks: Engine Options
Mahindra offers the Thar Rocks with a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
