Leading carmaker Kia is all set to launch a new compact SUV in India by early to mid-2025, currently named ‘Clavis’. However, the name of the upcoming SUV could be Kia Ciros, which was recently trademarked by the company in the Indian market. Over the past few months, Kia Syros has been spotted several times in India. According to a report on Gaadiwaadi news website, Kia Sa will compete with SUVs like Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra.
The design of the SUV will look like this
If we talk about design, the Kia Ciros will have a right front which will be highlighted by a vertically placed LED lighting system. Additionally, the car will feature an L-sized LED tail light mounted on a single pillar at the rear. On the other hand, the car will also feature newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels and functional roof racks. Many media outlets claim that the Kia Ciros will have a larger cabin and boot space than the company’s popular Seltos SUV.
The SUV will be equipped with exciting features
If we talk about the powertrain, a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine can be offered in the lower versions of the Kia Ciros. While a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine can be offered in the top-end variant of the car. Let us tell you that the engine of the car will be mated to a 5-speed manual and automatic transmission.
