Tata Motors Limited has brought back the CAMO edition of the Punch for the period. Tell us what will be special about it?
Automaker Tata Motors has launched a new CAMO edition of the Punch SUV. The company only launched it for a limited time. The automakers reintroduced this special edition of the model, 9 months after the previous edition was discontinued. The new CAMO edition of the Punch offers a new dual-tone exterior color apart from other updates. Tata Motors has priced this special edition at Rs 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Punch is the smallest SUV from Tata Motors, offered in ICE, CNG and fully electric variants. It starts at Rs 6.13 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 10 lakh for the top-end variant. The Punch EV price starts at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the SUV compares with the Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Suzuki Swift, etc.
Tata Punch CAMO Edition: highlights
The Tata Punch CAMO is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, which enables wireless connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features found inside the cabin include air vents for the rear passengers, a large console with armrest, a wireless charger, and a fast-charging USB Type-C port.
Tata Punch CAMO only has cosmetic changes. Coming to the engine option, the 1.5-litre petrol unit is capable of generating 87 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. It can be mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or to a 5-speed AMT. The CNG unit can only be mated to a manual gearbox and is capable of generating 72 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque.
Tata Punch receives a 5-star safety rating from the Global New Car Assessment Program. It comes with multiple airbags, iTPMS, ABS with ESP and ISOFIX mounts at the rear.
Tata Punch recently received an update, which brings a new range of variants and additional features. Starting at a price of Rs 6.13 lakh, the 2024 Tata Punch comes with three new variants Adventure S, Adventure + S and Pure(o). The SUV now offers a total of 10 variants in its ICE avatar. Tata Punch is currently one of the best-selling cars in India. For a few months this year, it topped the list of cars sold in the country.
