Mahindra’s Thar Rocks has received a great response in the Indian market. This SUV had received 1.76 lakh orders in just 1 hour after bookings opened. Today, the delivery of these orders is causing concern at the company. In such a situation, the company has planned to increase its production to provide it to the customers. According to reports, Thar Rocks production may be increased to 7,500 units in November. At the same time, it is expected to reach 9,500 units in January. Initially, the company had kept its production at 2,500 units, but after a bumper booking, it had to be increased to 5,000 to 6,000 units. Looking at the booking, dealers estimate that the waiting time could exceed 12 months.
The starting ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Thar Rocks KS petrol version is Rs 12.99 lakh and the diesel is Rs 13.99 lakh. The MX1 version of Thar Rocks is also equipped with many great features and security. It gets LED projector headlights, LED taillights and 18-inch steel wheels. This means that off-roading will be a lot of fun, even with the base variant.

Talking about Mahindra Thar Rocks’ rivals, its direct competition in the Indian market will be with Force Gurkha 5-door and Maruti Suzuki Jimny. However, in terms of sales, both are far behind the 3-door model of the Thar. At the same price, Thar Rocks will also compete with many compact SUVs present in the market like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate.
