MG Motor has become the second best-selling electric car maker in India. The company’s market share exceeded 21%. Now, only Tata Motors is ahead in this segment. The special thing is that the share of electric vehicles in MG’s portfolio has reached 50%. The latest car in the company’s portfolio is the Windsor EV. Its official reservation will begin tomorrow October 3 at 7:30 a.m. For this, customers will have to pay a token amount of Rs 11,000. Customers can book it through the MG Motor India website and at their nearest MG dealership.
The starting ex-showroom price of the MG Windsor EV with battery subscription has been set at Rs 9.99 lakh. While the normal ex-showroom price is Rs 13.50 lakh. The company rents batteries to customers who purchase Windsor EV. MG Windsor EV is available in three variants namely Excite, Exclusive and Petrol. Customers can choose this electric car from four paint options Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige and Turquoise Green.
MG Windsor EV powertrain, features and specifications
The MG Windsor EV gets a 38 kWh battery. Its range is 331Km. The electric motor fitted to the front wheels is capable of generating a power of 134 hp and a torque of 200 Nm. It has four driving modes Eco, Eco+, Normal and Sport.
A quilted pattern is available on the seats inside the car. It has a 15.6-inch infotainment system, which runs on the same operating system as the Comet. It has a great backrest option, which can electrically recline up to 135 degrees. You also get a USB charging port, a rear air vent, and a center armrest with cup holder.
It offers features like wireless phone mirroring, wireless charger, 360-degree camera, air conditioning with rear vent, connected car technology, reclining rear seat and panoramic sunroof . It has a noise monitor, Jio apps and multi-language connectivity, TPMS, 6 airbags, ABS with EBD and full LED lighting.
