MG has launched the Snowstorm edition of the Hector SUV and the Blackstorm edition of the Astor. Let us know its price.
JSW MG Motor has introduced two new special edition SUVs ahead of the festive season. The automaker today introduced the Hector Snowstorm and Astor Blackstorm Editions, which join the special editions of the Gloster SUV launched in June this year. Prices for the Hector Snowstorm start at Rs 21.53 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Astor Blackstorm Edition starts at Rs 13.45 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first time that MG is introducing the Snowstorm Edition of its best-selling SUV.
There are already several special edition variants in the MG Hector and Astor range. The Hector Snowstorm Edition is priced at Rs 23 lakh, which will now sit at the top of the range. The prices of the other variants of the SUV start at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Astor SUV already has a Blackstorm edition. Its more affordable variant could be launched at the new launch. The special edition has been introduced in two variants, Select MT and Select CVT. The Backstorm edition of the Astor SUV is priced at Rs 14.46 lakh (ex-showroom). Other variants of the Astor SUV, rivalling the Hyundai Creta and Seltos, are priced between Rs 9.98 lakh and Rs 18.08 lakh (ex-showroom).
What’s different in MG Hector Snowstorm?
MG Motor’s best-selling model in India, the Hector SUV, Snowstorm Edition, gets an updated exterior colour palette. The SUV has been introduced with a dual-tone theme with a white body and a black roof. It features dark chrome accents on the Hector logo and sign, dark chrome diamond-inspired grille and bumper garnish, piano black roof rails and a smoked black finish on the tail lamps. The 18-inch alloy wheels also get the all-black treatment with red brake calipers.
The interior of Hector Snowstorm has also received an updated colour theme inside the cabin. The SUV will be offered with gun metal accents. Hector Snowstorm will have other features including a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
How is the MG Astor Blackstorm different?
Cosmetic changes have been made to the standard Blackstorm Edition version of the Astor SUV. These have an all-black exterior colour theme, seen on the grille, headlights and bumpers. The alloy wheels also get a black treatment with red brake calipers at the front.
The interior of the Astor Blackstorm Edition features a revamped theme with tuxedo black upholstery with contrasting red stitching. The front seats feature the Blackstorm logo. The air conditioning vents receive Sangria Red accents, while the steering wheel and door trims feature contrasting red stitching. MG Motor is also offering a JBL speaker system in the special edition SUV.
