When released, the Yamaha R9 is expected to slot between the recently introduced 2025 R1 model and the YZF-R7.

What to expect from the Yamaha YZF-R9?

The Yamaha YZF-R9 is expected to be based on the existing MT-09 hyper-naked motorcycle. Currently, the Yamaha MT-09 is the only one in the range to be spared the touch of full fairing. So the YZF-R9 motorcycle can inherit most of the components from the MT-09.
